I almost knew how this was going to work but I decided to give it a try anyway. Lol.
As you can see, it comes in a quite cute packaging. A glass jar and a gold plastic cap. I like the packaging. It's convenient and secure.

Instead of getting another one of black gel liner, I decided to get one in a different color in Bronze. The eyeliner is a warm brown with lots shimmers. It's a tad lighter than typical brown eyeliners. I believe the shade "espresso" is the darker brown. The finish is indeed the "lacquered finish" as L'Oreal says. It's shiny!! :)

Hopefully, you can see the texture from the picture below. It's not a hard cream consistency. It really is a gel consistency. Very similar to MAC fluidlines but a bit harder. It's easy to get the product on the brush and then on to the lids. It goes on very smoothly. It doesn't clump up when you apply repeatedly, and there's plenty of time for you to smudge it out before it dries down.

While the eyeliner is decently pigmented, the color and pigmentation is not strong enough to compete with really dark eyeshadows. In other words, depending on what shadows you have on underneath, it will look a different color. I don't mind this effect but just letting you know that I find that this does happen. :)

Now on to my usual gripe about eyeliners. The wearing time and smudginess. lol. The good thing about this is that the color does not fade for about 10 hours. But oh man, this gives me raccoon eyes after couple of hours. It's not even smudging right below the lash line. It's a full out, large diameter, smudging mess. Didn't really matter if I had a primer on or not.
I usually do not have the best results with L'Oreal eye products. Their waterproof mascara is very very smudgy on me. I was thinking the same thing might happen with this but I was a bit optimistic about this because infallible eyeshadows are indeed very long wearing. The liner didn't pull the same miracle. But if you have no problem wearing L'Oreal products' wearing time in general, I think this will work nicely.
It does come with a really nice brush! It's thin, nicely tapered, and at a good handle length. Love!

If L'Oreal mascaras/eyeliners have smudged on you pretty badly in the past, I think this will be pretty similar. I am giving a B- rating because it smudges so badly on me. I know not everyone reacts to L'Oreal eye products this way. Other than that, it is a really nice quality product. And the color is beautiful. It's gives a soft defined look like other brown eyeliners but it being not flat brown gives it so much bam! If black eyeliner is boring you, check this out. :D

Thanks for showing me the colour! I'll probably have to buy this eyeliner because I long for the brush. It's the only brush (or the shape of a brush) that I can do a good eyeliner with. No other shape of brush is good for me, it's always a colour disaster on my eyes when I try to use a gel eyeliner. And I was afraid that the shade Bronze would be too light (similar to the Color Intrigue Gel Eyeliner in Bronze by Elizabeth Arden). Luckily, it's not! :)
