I am usually not a fan of lip glosses. I wear them maybe once every three months? Lol. But this limited edition color really grabbed my attention.

The Queen's shine is one of the four glosses in the Project Runway collection from this year. It's definitely the darkest. It's deep berry toned red and the shimmers are actually red so it's not crazy obvious and difficult to wear. The color is not as dark as it looks in the tube. It is not opaque but it is super pigmented. \o/

As you can see, it comes in a tube with slanted tip. It doesn't allow the most precise application but it will do. :)

The formula is pretty nice. It's smooth, not too sticky, and the shimmers don't feel gritty on the lips. Only thing is because of the nature of glosses, it can move around pretty easily. It's a problem with this shade because it is such a dark color and it will actually stain lips/skin around the lips. It's a bit high maintenance. The positive side of that is it stains the lips, so the staying power is much longer than other glosses. The gloss itself disappears after couple of hours (of course depends on amount of talking, drinking, eating), but the stain stays on for 2-3 hours after that.

This is a gloss that requires you to be neat during application and while wearing it. But it's worth taking extra caution because opaque dark lips are hard to wear in my opinion. I find glosses and sheer lipsticks much easier to wear. I like it overall. Just carry a mirror with you to reapply. Lol. It is a limited edition so hurry! :D
