Paula Dorf Eye Shadow Brush |
Paula Dorf Eye Shadow Brush is natural bristled brush. I can't find information on what type of hair this is but it is probably blue squirrel since several other brushes from her line have blue squirrel bristles. It's medium-large sized brush in my opinion. It's not a flat shader though ferrule is pinched slightly so there is narrower side and thicker side. It's fluffy and has not much tapering going on. It is quite good at picking up products, especially for a squirrel brush.

Between the two, J5523 is much much more precise and has less give. Paula Dorf is a bit floppy in comparison.
Here is another comparison picture feature Paula Dorf Sheer Crease Brush.
Paula Dorf Eye Shadow Brush is a multi-functional brush. It is an excellent brush for sweeping on one color and blending. For looks that involve multiple colors and precise placement and blending, this is not ideal for my Asian eyes since it is quite big. You can be slightly more precise if you use it head on but it feels a little scratchy occasionally, which I found odd because Sheer Crease Brush never feels prickly. At least for the brushes I have, there seems to be hair quality variation between brushes. Sheer Crease Brush and Perfect Eye Contour Brush are very soft and never feels prickly. One the other hand, Eye Blender Brush and Eye Shadow Brush feels not as soft. Don't get me wrong. They are still soft. Just not as luxurious feeling as the other two. This brush definitely has it's uses. It may be great for people with large lid space. However, it's not a must have for me.
