rbr gracilis
Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush in Gracilis
I got a short rave today! Rouge Bunny Rouge powder products are every bit awesome as others have said. I ordered a couple of blushes with my first order and both of them were hits. I'm sharing the "everyday" one first. :)

Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow

Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow
Natural Light
There have been some summer collections rolling out. Nothing really interested me except for this. For summer, I do like warmer bronzers. Also I don't really have a good coral blush in my stash at the moment! So this made sense for me to get. :)

Burberry Light Glow Blush in No. 3 Rose

Burberry Light Glow Blush in No. 3 Rose
With Flash
More Burberry blushes! I have quite a few more to go through. :D Burberry makes hands down one of my favorite blush formulas so when I heard the word that they might be changing manufacturer, I grabbed one that I wanted out of current line up. It was more of I will get it now in case I want it in the future, but I like it a lot.

Burberry Light Glow Blush in No. 10 Hydrangea Pink

burberry hydrangea blush
Burberry Light Glow Blush in No. 10 Hydrangea Pink
So much Burberry reviews lately! I had been waiting for this for months! Burberry released two new Sheer Glows with their spring launch: Coral Pink and Hydrangea Pink. My initial plan was to get both but two looked pretty similar in several swatch pics. They look very different in terms of undertone so it makes sense to get both. However, the way I wear blushes and given the size of my collection (it's not big. I just like to keep it relatively small), I had to skip Coral Pink. Between the two, Coral Pink is warmer, lighter, and more wearable option for a lot of people. But for me, I was sure Hydrangea Pink would be a much more flattering option between the two.

Tom Ford Blush in Flush Review

TF blush flush
Tom Ford Blush in Flush

Ayyy. Tom Ford. This is the most expensive blush I have ever purchased. It's whopping $55. I was so taken by the crazy vibrant color and the glowing reviews regarding its texture. Hmm...

Comparison Swatch: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed vs. Giorgio Armani Sheer Blush in 5

GA blush 5 Tarte AC exposed
On the left: Giorgio Armani Blush #5. On the right: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed
Comparison pics! I like these because it prevents me from buying dupey things. :)
I'm comparing two good everyday blushes. :) GA 5 and Tarte Exposed.
In natural light
As you can see, exposed is more red. And it pulls even more red on my cheeks. I know it doesn't do this for everyone so as with anything ymmv. :)
I recall a blogger calling GA 5 "violet beige" and I agree with that description. On me, it doesn't swatch or wear as brown as it looks in the pan. :) Super wearable nude blush, and it's one of my favorites.

GA texture is far superior, the color (without red) is more flattering on me, so I recommend GA 5 between the two. GA 5 is especially good because you don't have to be particularly careful with the application. Nicely sheer. :) But if you prefer a more obvious block of color and don't mind the reddish tinge, Exposed is good too. It was well used when it was one of the two blushes I had (oh gosh...) but I don't have it anymore. I was just not reaching for it over other blushes like GA 5. Hope this helps. :)

Review: Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty

Tarte blush natural beauty
Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Natural Beauty
Intimidating packaging color for blush, eh? Sometimes, red blushes can be the most natural looking when worn sheerly hence the name Natural Beauty.

theBalm Down Boy Blush Review

the balm down boy
theBalm Down Boy Blush

theBalm Down Boy blush is a light pink powder blush. It's straight up neutral pink, so it won't clash on warm skin tones. It gives a very nice pale baby pink flush to your cheeks. It's quite pigmented so it can be very easily built up to bright, strong pink. If that's not what you want, be sure to use a light hand or a stippling brush. :) The product itself contains a little bit of microshimmer but once applied it's matte finish. The shimmers don't really show. They just help the blush look not too flat.

mac shy shine, mac garb, bobbi brown desert rose kiehl's foaming cleanser
MAC Lipstick in Shy Shine (Lustre), MAC Sheertone Blush  in Garb,
Bobbi Brown Blush in Desert Rose, and Keihl's Foaming Non-Detergent Washable Cleanser

I went to an outlet today and I couldn't pass by Cosmetics Company and Designer Fragrances and Cosmetics Co. A magical force pulled me into these stores. :) Seriously, I was headed to them without thinking about it.

This has to be one of very few times I make impulsive cosmetic purchases. I really like to research products and plan my purchases out but there was no way of knowing what's available in those stores. I purchased    MAC Lustre Lipstick in Shy Shine, MAC Sheertone Blush in Garb, Bobbi Brown blush in Desert Rose, and Kiehl's Foaming Non-Detergent Washable Cleanser. I got the lipstick and two blushes from Cosmetics Company and the cleanser from Designer Fragrances and Cosmetics Co. The two MAC products are not currently available as they were limited editions.

Shy Shine is sheer, slightly shimmery mauve/pink nude color. It's very wearable because it's pretty close to my natural lip color. It's my lips but better color for me. It gives a more polished look than bare lips.

Garb is a sheer nude blush. It leans orange but it's very toned down color.

Desert Rose is mauvy pink rose color. It's also very wearable.

I was safe with color choices today, which is more practical because colors that make me say "Oooh~ Pretty!" look ridiculous on me. Safe blushes are good for me. :D

Here are some pics for the three items!

E.L.F. Studio Cream Blush in Tease

e.l.f cream blush in tease
elf Studio Cream Blush in Tease

E.L.F. Studio Cream Blush in Tease is a dusty coral cream blush. It's matte. You can sheer it out on your cheeks to get a more wearable (not crazy bright) coral color. It can be built up for the intense color of the blush in the jar since it has very good pigmentation.

The blush has a slightly whipped feeling to its creamy texture. It's not the type of texture you have to dig your finger or brush very hard into the product to pick up a good amount of product. You can pick up product very easily with little pressure. E.L.F. says it's oil-free and cream to powder finish, which I find to be true. It blends very very nicely on cheeks which made me guess that it probably has a lot of dimethicone. And it is the first ingredient on the list so watch out if you are sensitive to it.

Staying power is fine but not great as it doesn't last the entire day for me. It lasts 5-6 hours on me.

The product comes in a plastic jar. I like that I can see the color of the blush without opening it. But packaging is quite bulky for the amount of product that comes with it.

NARS Blush: Sex Appeal

NARS Sex Appeal
NARS Blush in Sex Appeal

NARS Sex Appeal blush is a very pale pinky peach in pan. It's completely matte. I hesitated getting it for so long because I was afraid it wouldn't show up on me (NC25). Then I came across a review saying that it is likely to show up on people with skin tone darker than N15 range if they are yellow undertoned. So I decided to try it. Thankfully it does show up on me. It shows up as a very pale pink flush with slightest peach tone, which is very nice for days you are not up for a very strong blush color.

Texture is powdery, and quite bit of a powder access is kicked off when you take a brush to it. But it blends quite nicely on cheeks. It does build up but not too much, so it will be very hard to over do this blush. I typically have to dip twice to get the color to show up.

Staying power is good. It stays on for 7-8 hours on my very oily skin.

Packaging is standard NARS packaging, rubberized plastic. Sleek, compact, easy to open, but impossible to clean once it gets dirty (hence the dirty outside pic)

Here are some pictures!
