Burberry Eyeshadow Palette in Pink Taupe, Eyeshadow in Mulberry, and Blush in Earthy
\o/ Very excited. :) I already tried one of these, and it's flat out lovely. This picture does not do them any justice. They're much more beautiful in real life. Lol. I am attempting to take better pictures tomorrow in natural light so that I can include them in their reviews. I think I am done trying to use flash to take pics. Anyways, will be back with reviews soon! :)

Second Giorgio Armani product review in a row!! It's that season, and I definitely took advantage of the sales and deals for products that rarely go on sale like GA! :) I got this with my VIB coupon at Sephora. Yes, there's Giorgio Armani at Sephora located at Times Square. :D It also has D & G makeup, so check it out if you can.

Although I wasn't super super happy with the quality of the one of the Luminous Lights quad I had, I still liked how it looked on, so I got another one, Gold Lights.

My original review is here. The quality and my feeling about it is pretty much the same so this is basically swatch update. :)

I was afraid that Smitten might be insanely dark but as you can see, it's not. It's a dark lip but not too much if you wear it sheerly! Precious doesn't leave too much of stain but other two definitely stain that stays on for long. :D Hope this helps.

Review: Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush

real techniques brush
Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush
A very short review. A straight fine liner brushes are my brush type of choice for gel/cream eyeliners. I find that they really do the jobs themselves when I am drawing a thin line following the shape of my eyes. If you like creating shapes or do a thick line, an angled brush might work better for that. For my purposes, fine liner brushes work the best as I lay it sideways and drag it on top of my lashes.

Review: MAC Fluidline in Dark Diversion

MAC Fluidline in Dark Diversion

So a funny story. Not really. Lol. I was looking for a dupe of this forever because this was limited edition and then I found it at Nordstrom after if was back ordered for awhile. The after I used it, I ordered a back up before they ran out again. Ha. The day it shipped, I read the press release that it's being released again. Left me feeling a bit weird/stupid but I am glad that people who were looking for this don't have to pay evil bay price. :)

Review: L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Golden Emerald and Smoldering Plum

L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Golden Emerald and Smoldering Plum
L'Oreal came out with few new shades of Infallible eyeshadows! I love few of the original shades, so I had to pick these up. Golden Emerald and Smoldering Plum were my first two choices. I ended up getting Liquid Diamond after I got these but I haven't tested it yet. A review for that will be coming soon! :)

Swatch Update: Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Makeup in Buff, Sand Beige, Warm Golden

So I have three jars of this foundation now. Lol. This is a swatch update.

The original review is here. And the second update is here.

Now I have Buff, Sand Beige, and Warm Golden, which are all supposedly warm tone shades. I have three different swatches with different lighting. :) Quick note. Between Sand Beige and Warm Golden, I find that Sand Beige has a bit more pink.

Sneak Peek with Swatches: Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow Quad in The Happy Place

bare minerals the happy place
bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow Quad in The Happy Place

This is not a review but I had to do a post swatches because I can't contain my love for it! Also this quad is fairly new and limited edition so more swatches floating around internet, the better! :) They swatched beautifully and I am guessing they will perform beautifully on the eyes as well based on the bareMinerals Ready line's track record. Can't wait to use it. :)

Gah!! I just love it! lol.

Comparison Review: MAC Blacktrack Fluidline and Wet 'n' Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyelienr

mac gel liner wet n wild
Wet 'n' Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner and MAC Blacktrack Fluidline

Another comparison review time! I am going to review the popular MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and mad affordable Wet 'n' Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyelienr. The result of the wear test (aka having MAC on one eye and Wet 'n' Wild on the other and swapping the next day) was quite surprising. It was opposite of the impression of each product as I wore them by themselves. Anyhow, more of that to come later.

NOTD: China Glaze Atelier Tulle

atelier tulle
China Glaze Atelier Tulle
NOTD!! First off, please excuse my cuticles/nail shape/etc. I completely neglect them when my nails are short. X_X

Anyways, I haven't been painting my nails as much as I used to so application has been a little difficult for me. Plus I painted them at night and I wanted to get it done quickly and go to sleep ASAP. lol. So I needed something that you practically apply by itself. Atelier Tulle is it! It has the hands down the BEST formula out of the all the polishes I have. This is two coats but you can get away with one thick coat. Not my favorite color but formula is just so amazing!! It's a lovely one to have!

Inglot Eyeshadow 344 and 358
There are my favs! I don't feel like they are the best of qualities but I am absolutely in love with the colors. They are probably the most flattering shades on me. I often alternate using both as a lid color and crease color and they work well.

ole henriksen cream
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation

Woo hoo! I finished the jar of this. I was a small one at 0.5oz but still. Lol. Finishing a product = trying out a new product so it's always exciting for me. :D

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation is a oil free night creme that helps with hyperpigmentation issues with vitamin C and E. It's a white creme that applies and spreads really nicely. It's light but hydrating enough. My skin actually produces less oil overnight when I use this.

Coastal Scents Classic Buffer Large Synthetic Brush Review

coastal scents buffer brush 518
Coastal Scents Classic Buffer Large Synthetic Brush
This chunky brush is my go to stippling brush. :) LOVE! This one is called Classic Buffer Synthetic Brush (BR-C-S29). It's a very dense and big, so it's great for quickly stippling on the foundation. It's dense enough that bristles don't flop around when you stipple. It's also on the weighty side which I like, and it feels very well built. Ferrules are on nice and tight and bristles are glued together well.

There has been minimal shedding. Very very minimal. May be one every other washing. The brush washes well and dries in a reasonable amount of time. As with other foundation brushes, I wash this one with dish soap and olive oil. Works like a charm in getting all the foundation out.

Bristles are soft so it doesn't hurt when I stipple on the foundation. I have felt softer brushes but this one's not bad at all for a stippling brush. Many stippling brushes have bothered me for that reason but this one is not painful at all. I can feel it but it doesn't hurt.

Coastal Scents buffer brush top view 518
Coastal Scents Classic Buffer Large Synthetic Brush Top View

I am sure I have mentioned before, but stippling brush is great for people who have flaky skin. No microexfoliation to accentuate the flakes. This one is a great brush if you haven't liked stippling brush for 1)hurting your face and 2)it taking way to long to stipple around entire face. I highly recommend you check it out! :D

L'Oreal Concentrated Last Boosting Serum Review

loreal lash serum
L'Oreal Lash Serum
For those of us who need a little help with lashes but not interested in prescription or mega expensive products, L'Oreal Lash Serum is a great alternative. :) This is my second tube of it, and I have been loving it. My lashes are naturally on the sparse and short side. In addition, I regularly use waterproof mascara so I tend to lose some during removal. :( But this has certainly helped in both aspects. There's more growth (as in more lashes) and my lashes grow longer with daily use. :) It's not an insane effect but it's noticeable.

theBalm Down Boy Blush Review

the balm down boy
theBalm Down Boy Blush

theBalm Down Boy blush is a light pink powder blush. It's straight up neutral pink, so it won't clash on warm skin tones. It gives a very nice pale baby pink flush to your cheeks. It's quite pigmented so it can be very easily built up to bright, strong pink. If that's not what you want, be sure to use a light hand or a stippling brush. :) The product itself contains a little bit of microshimmer but once applied it's matte finish. The shimmers don't really show. They just help the blush look not too flat.

As I was getting paler like I usually do in the summer (yes, I do that. lol), I decided to get Buff. My original review is here. This is more of a swatch update. I used Studio Finish NC20 Concealer and original Colorstay shades for comparison. I also used natural light for the swatch. :)

Philosophy Miracle Worker Dark Spot Corrector is indeed a miracle worker. I have severe hyperpigmentation issues from acne that has been going on for too damn long!! Lol. MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush Review and Comparison Pic

Mac 239 brush
MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush
MAC 239 Eye Shader Brush is the best!. It's the best. It looks like your basic flat eyeshadow brush but oh it's so much better than all other ones I have tried. It's made of white goat hair so it picks up and deposits shadows beautifully. It's on a smaller side, which is perfect for working on my small eyes. It's tapered and remains tapered and nicely in shape after washing. \o/ Hooray! It's also stiff enough that you can use it to work some shadow into lash line and other precise work. :) It doesn't flop around so you can direct where you put the color down really well.
